99 Seconds of Change
In this project we decided to use my partner's topic. We chose to do our project on lowering the price of movie tickets and snacks.
Fact Sheet
This fact sheet we used to base our script from. We used our writing and combined it with facts. We suppose to have a lot of facts to support our topic and was one the main focus on our videos.
Business Letter
Our business letter was a persuasive letter we had to write to our main target. Trying to convince our opponent to change their ways. So my partner wrote Westfield Mall in Chula Vista about why we should lower the price of movie tickets and snacks.
2-Column Script
For the 2-column script we rote a script using our facts from the fact sheet and had images that lined up with it. We chose different images for every single sentence.
Audio
We recored an audio for our video. We used our script which e had written together. My partner recored her voice nad got peer critique for it. This process went on for two rounds then finally we got approved by the teacher.
Video
For this video we used our audio and images together to make our 99 seconds video. Our video required a minimum of 30 pictures and an audio of 99 seconds. We then edited and aligned our images to with the audio and 3 peer critiques sessions. We then had our teacher do the last critique and got approved to post it on youtube. Here is the link for our video. Enjoy.
Images
We had to find lots of photos. After that we edited them on photoshop and had peer critique session. We then went back and edited the previous images again and had to get approval of them.
Reflection
The most valuable thing I learned from this project was how crucial it was for good team work. My partner and I had difficulties working together because my partner was sick for a very long time and I had done most the work. However when they recovered I had to tell them their portion of the work to do. I had to use a lot of communication to be successful in this project. My advice for future student to choose a partner with a topic that you are both passionate about because then you are more likely to put more effort into your work. Our teacher had very guidelines and deadlines for this. They had planed out every step and had kept us in track. To make this project better they could pick a partner in the beginning and then both agree on a topic then do the project from there.
